Hytale Dev Seeks Legal Action Against Knock-Off Switch eShop Game

A blatant copycat -- "Hytale: Sandbox RPG" by repeat offender RoVi Ninen -- appeared on the Switch eShop for £4.99, copying both the name and key art of Hypixel Studios' actual game (currently in PC early access). Co-director Simon Collins-Laflamme says it's "being handled by our legal team." RoVi Ninen also released "Coin Pit," a copycat of CloverPit.

Playtonic Teasing a 60fps Patch for Yooka-Replaylee on Switch 2

Playtonic has been dropping cryptic '60' hints on Bluesky since last Saturday, capped with a riddle about performance that "didn't take flight" but will soon "soar, silky-smooth like never before." Yooka-Replaylee launched at 30fps on Switch 2; the long-requested 60fps patch looks imminent. Livestream confirmed for tomorrow, April 16 at 2pm BST.

Review: Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (Nintendo Life, 7/10)

NL 7/10. Starts genuinely hilarious, but the loop can wear thin around the 10-hour mark. Tomodachi fans will live the dream; newcomers may find it samey. Worth noting: 30fps on Switch 2, Mii cap drops to 70 (from 100 on 3DS), and no Mouse Mode. Launches tomorrow, April 16.

UGC/island builder alone took 6-7 years; one dev even recreated Nintendo's office in-game. Mii News nearly got cut before a junior dev saved it. 'Little quirks' adds traits like floating or flatulence. "It's nine years' worth of ideas crammed into one game." Launches April 16.

Jock Blaney, Voice of Wolf and Bill Grey in Star Fox 64, Has Passed Away

Jock Blaney, the voice behind Wolf O'Donnell ("Can't let you do that, Starfox!") and Bill Grey in Star Fox 64, has passed away. Blaney was a veteran radio broadcaster and voice actor who also narrated America's Test Kitchen on PBS, and studied under the legendary Mel Blanc early in his career.
